6th Annual Vision Performance Institute Research Conference – Call for Abstracts


The VPI Annual Research Conference is an international research conference dedicated to improving our understanding of the relationship between vision and the daily visual functions.  This year in our 6th Annual Research Conference, we will focus on high-tech visual displays and their effects on vision and visual performance. 

This meeting will be of keen interests to professionals from the fields of vision scientist, cognitive scientists, engineers, clinicians, film producers, designers, educators, visual specialists, and the media workers.  Please see the details below.

We are soliciting abstracts for a variety of session topics related to “High-tech display and their effects on vision and visual performance.”  Topics include but not limited to the following:
·  Vision and Quality of Visual Display
·  Technology of 3D Display
·  Quality of 3D Content
·  Eye care for the high tech viewer
·  Optometric Vision Therapy
·  3D Displays and Vision Development
·  3D Displays and Public Health
·  3D Displays and Classroom Learning
·  High-Tech Glasses and Vision Performance


Abstract Submission:
·  Deadline: March 1st, 2012
o    Submissions must include an abstract of no more than 300 words.  Papers for presentation will be selected by March 15 and authors notified shortly thereafter. 
o    Please email your abstract to Dr. Yu-Chi Tai (ytai@pacificu.edu).
o    Notification of abstract acceptance will be on March 15th, 2012.
o    Authors of accepted papers are expected to submit a 4 page paper of their presentation that will be included in the citable proceedings from the conference.

Limited exhibit space is available upon request.
